In order to improve the legal culture of voters and familiarize them with the basics of the democratic process, from September 1 to October 8, 2021, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Democracy, Parliamentarism and Respect for the Electoral Rights of Citizens of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly member states, is holding an Internet Olympiad “Electoral Systems of the world”, where 354 students from 37 universities of the country took part. According to the results of the 1st round of the Olympiad, the winners were 3rd-year students of the specialty 6B040201-Jurisprudence Akdaulet Adil (37 points), Balpisova Laura (37 points), scientific supervisor associate professor Alimpieva T.G. and Zinelgapparova Kamilya (35 points), scientific supervisor senior lecturer Berdybaev E.M. The winners of the Internet Olympiad in December this year will participate in the International Youth School “Youth parliamentarism as the basis for sustainable development of partnership of CIS countries” in St. Petersburg.
