In 2022, she was accredited for educational programs: 6B04201 – “Jurisprudence”, 6B04202 – “Law and law enforcement”.
The teaching staff of the department trains specialists in the educational programs 6B04201 – “Jurisprudence”, 6B04202 – “Law and law enforcement” in accordance with the needs of the region and the republic. Educational programs are focused on professional social order through the formation of special key and special competencies related to the necessary types of research and practical activities, adjusted to meet the requirements of employers.
At the present stage, the university cooperates with scientific centers, universities of Kazakhstan and the CIS and is the organizer of a number of scientific, theoretical and practical conferences and projects. The faculty of the department takes an active part in the scientific life of the university.
In 2022, she received the PhD degree of Doctor of Philosophy (specialty Jurisprudence), senior lecturer of the Department of Jurisprudence Tleulesova B.T. defended her scientific work at the L. Gumilev Eurasian National University.
In 2024, she received the PhD degree of Doctor of Philosophy (specialty Jurisprudence), senior lecturer of the Department of Jurisprudence Nurutdinova A.Zh.
Within the framework of academic mobility of students in the educational programs 6B04201-“Jurisprudence”, 6B04202 – “Law and law enforcement”, cooperation with Kazakhstani and foreign universities – Orenburg Agrarian State University (RF), Sakarya University (Turkey) and other universities has expanded. At the Grodno State University named after Ya.Kupala (Belarus), was trained and received a diploma of M.yu.n. Konysov A.Zh. according to the program of double-degree studies.
As part of the program of cooperation with universities, teaching staff from Orenburg State University – Ph.D., Associate Professor E.I. Maksimenko, Ph.D., Associate Professor E.V. Savoshikova, from Orenburg State Agrarian University – Ph.D., Associate Professor Narbikova N.G., from Grodno State University were invited to give guest lectures Kupala University – Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Klyuchko R.N.
According to the academic mobility program, students of the specialty !Jurisprudence», «Law and Law Enforcement» were trained in partner universities: in 2017-2018, G. Students Daulet A. from the West Kazakhstan State University named after M.Utemisov were trained in incoming national mobility in 2018-2019. In 2019-2020. Teachers of the Department of Jurisprudence also take part in the academic mobility program: in 2021, Ph.D., associate professors Nurlin A.K., Ismailova B.Sh., M.yu.n., senior lecturer Nurutdinova A.Zh. gave lectures for students of Atyrau State University named after H. Dosmukhamedov (Atyrau). In 2024, PhD, associate professors Nurlin A.K., senior teachers, M.Sc.: Rzagulova S.R., Zhaltyrbaeva R.S. conducted classes for students of the Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh.Yesenov in Aktau.
In 2024, M.yu.n., senior teachers of the Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh.Yesenov, Aktau – Izturganova G.K., Utenova A.A., Shakhaeva G.B. gave lectures for students of the specialty Jurisprudence of the Faculty of Economics and Law.
The Department of Jurisprudence holds events to attract students to research work. Student conferences, seminars, round tables, and contests are organized annually. The publication of articles and abstracts in scientific journals, collections of reports contributes to the deep assimilation of professional discipline, the formation of creative thinking skills, scientific methods of cognition and research. The organization of students’ research work is carried out annually, according to the plan of students’ research work.
Students take an active part in the scientific life of the university. Student scientific circles “Themis” and “Zanger” work at the faculty. Students also take an active part in the work of the student club “MidMar”. The purpose of the scientific circles: “Themis” and “Zanger” is to create and develop favorable conditions for students’ research activities and their participation in scientific research.
The research work of students and undergraduates is introduced into the educational process in order to form the skills of independent research, analysis of scientific articles, texts, reports, interviews, documents. The teachers of the department actively use role-playing and business games, interactive learning methods in the educational process. The activities of all scientific circles and problem groups are aimed at increasing the scientific potential of students. Members of scientific circles and problem groups actively participate in scientific conferences and competitions.
The teaching staff of the department has a high rating for publications in scientific journals, at international and national scientific and practical conferences, for the publication of textbooks, textbooks, monographs.
Professional development within the framework of the activation of the educational process is carried out in accordance with the plan of the faculty, the university in various areas in order to strengthen the scientific, pedagogical, educational and methodological levels of teacher training. The teaching staff of the Department of Jurisprudence covered various forms of professional development: taking courses at leading universities, on educational and methodological activities, theoretical seminars and field profile seminars, seminars on the use of interactive teaching methods.
The educational work of the Department of Jurisprudence is aimed at the formation of patriotism, citizenship, internationalism, morality and morality, legal culture, and interfaith tolerance. Students of educational programs take an active part in university educational activities.
