Our graduates and employment

Employment of graduates is one of the important indicators in the professional training of specialists. At the Faculty of Economics and Law, much attention is paid to this issue. Work on the employment of graduates, which includes a set of measures to provide information, methodological, psychological and organizational support to graduates in order to adapt them to the labor market.

In order to attract business leaders as employers, it has become a tradition to hold a job fair, round tables with the participation of business leaders and organizations to establish business contacts. At our faculty we have established contacts with the following enterprises and institutions: Tsesna Bank JSC, Sberbank of Kazakhstan JSC, Forte Bank JSC, Qazkom Bank JSC, Tsesna Bank JSC, Agency of Civil Service and Anti-Corruption Department of Aktyubinsk area; recruitment agencies “Tau” “Necessary people”, LLP “Apple City”, LLP “Atameken nan”, LLP “Sb titanium”, etc.

To ensure the effective employment of graduates at the faculty, the following areas of work are carried out:

  1. Maintaining ties with employers in the Aktobe region and the western region.
  2. Creation of summary data of vacancies and offers for employment of graduates.
  3. Formation of a database of graduates, organization of activities for employment in the form of fairs, round tables, interviews, etc.
  4. Establishing partnerships, creating a communicative environment with employed graduates.

With the purpose of employing graduates, an analysis is made annually of the level of employment of students, which in the academic year 2014-2015 – 66.2%, in 2015-2016 academic year – 84%, in 2016-2017, 85%. With the purpose of revealing the level of professional readiness of graduate students from the place where production practice passes, the heads of enterprises are given feedback on achievements and shortcomings of theoretical and practical nature, on new production technologies. Satisfaction of consumers with the quality of training of specialists is 80-85% on average for various indicators.

One of the requirements for higher education institutions is the demand for graduates. The faculty chair conducts purposeful work on the employment of graduates. As part of the employment of graduates, the department annually conducts a “Job Fair”, where the graduate students present their “business cards” and portfolios of “Business Man” to invited managers and specialists of organizations. For the attention of employers, stands were prepared that clearly reflected the qualification requirements for graduates of the specialty “Finance” and “Accounting and Audit”, their achievements in educational, scientific, educational work, as well as interesting moments of student life. Thus, on April 8, 2017, the “Fair of Vacancies” was held at the faculty, where a meeting with employers was held, at which pre-employment issues were discussed, in which 83 students took part. During the event, employers informed the students of the 4th course about the available vacancies, their job responsibilities, requirements for applicants for the respective position, internal regulations in the organization, etc. In the future it is planned to strengthen this work by establishing close contacts with enterprises, organizations and institutions of the city and the region in conducting professional practice, participation of experienced specialists in the educational process of the university, in research work, in educational activities.

Among the graduates who have achieved outstanding results in professional, political or public activities, contributing to the growth of the university’s authority at the Kazakhstan and international levels, it is necessary to note: Danagulov E.Zh. akim of the Mugalzhar district. Zh.S. Serik, head of revenue department of Aktau region Zhakenova A.S. Managing Director for Economics LLP “Commercial Center ERG” Eurasian Group; Sarkulov A.S. Chairman of the Board of JSC “Entrepreneurship Development Fund “Damu”; Taskarin AE Director of JSC “Kazkommertsbank” Shymkent; Daniyarova gl.menedzher US Treasury Department of JSC “Samruk Energo”; Gaziyev RE AF Director of JSC «Freedom finance».

In the future it is planned to strengthen this work by establishing close contacts with enterprises, organizations and institutions of the city and the region in conducting professional practice, participation of experienced specialists in the educational process of the university, in research and educational activities.

The main tasks for the employment of graduates for 2018:

  • Strengthening ties with enterprises and organizations. To this end:
  • to hold meetings with employers, to open new specialties in the Master’s program “Finance”, “Accounting and Audit”, to improve the quality and effectiveness of the events;
  • organize work on interaction with employers, use the experience of large universities in the cities of Almaty and Astana;
  • organize systematic work on targeted contract training of specialists on orders of enterprises and organizations.
  • Implementation of work on short-term and long-term forecasting of the demand for young professionals. To this end, to monitor the labor market and demand for graduates, special emphasis on quality of practical training.
  • Creation of local data banks of graduates of previous years, their wide involvement in the employment of young professionals.

Thus, the labor market of the Aktobe region provides young specialists with a lot of opportunities for a successful career start. Today, many companies and enterprises of the Aktyubinsk region are interested in attracting graduates of our university to work places.

On specialties of “State and local administration” and “Marketing” employment reaches 85%. Graduates of these specialties work in government bodies, and in various business structures of our region and country.

Aktanova – Chief Specialist of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs and the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Aktyubinsk Region Umirzak A. – Chief Specialist of the Aktyubinsk Regional Department of Economics and Budget Planning, Kamilov M. – Senior Specialist of the Aktobe Regional Department on Religious Affairs, Akhmet J. – Leading Specialist of the Akim Office of the Kargaly Oblast S. Dangayev – Aktobe City Youth Resource Center, the JCC, as well as the Regional Center for Retraining and Advanced Training of Civil Servants, etc.

The Aktyubinsk labor market provides young specialists with a lot of opportunities for a successful career start. Today, many companies and enterprises of the Aktyubinsk region are interested in attracting graduates of our specialty to workplaces. Distinguished students with excellent knowledge in the specialty “Marketing” were employed in various industries, trade, including public service.

For example, graduates of the specialty “Marketing” Koblandin Kalym, Kenzhebaeva Indira, Beketova Aybanu, Zhumashev Erbol, Mazhitov Sultan, Seytzhaparova Aida, Dauren were admitted to the civil service, and in the leading enterprises of production were employed Nurlanizyzy Perizat – LLP “Aktyubinsk rail-beam plant “, as well as in banking structures – Musirova Aigerim, Seilova Aigul, Aitzhanova Kaliya, Bakytova Aizat, Mustafina Aigul, Sadykova Zhazira, Ihsanova Sholpan. At the moment they are the main specialists of various state institutions of the Aktobe region.

Graduates of the department have proved themselves as competent highly qualified specialists, in demand in many sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan, such as banking structures, public administrations of various levels.
